Sciences, Water Cycle.

First Experiment.

Title

Water cycle experiment

Purpose

To learn about the water cycle and how CO2 can affect the water cycle.

Materials

  • 2 Large plastic Ziploc bags.
  • 1 cup  Water.
  • 1  drop of blue food colouring.
  • 2 sided tape That will stick onto the window which will hold up a bag with water in it.

Steps

  • Get a large Ziploc bag and A permanent marker.
  •  draw the water cycle on the plastic bag and a sun.
  • A cup of water in  Ziploc bags with blue food colouring.

  • And stick it on the window gets the most sunlight.

Second Experiment.

  • 1 teaspoon of baking Soda to put inside a bag.

  •  draw the water cycle on the plastic bag and a sun.
  • A cup of water in  Ziploc bags with blue food colouring.
  • Put 1 teaspoon of a baking soda inside the ziplock bag.
  • Put a 3 sided tape on the bottom, top and top right corner of a Ziplock bag.
  • And stick it on the window gets the most sunlight.

The Water Cycle: Bag 1
CO2 Water Cycle: Bag 2
Acid

Does it cycle?
32
Amount of Water
22
Acidity
12

Key: Water and acidity amount: 1 = none
2 = small

3 = large

Conclusion: We created a water cycle experiment and it was successful because it does what it supposed to do.
We were separated into groups of 3 to work with each other successfully in our learning.
I and my group Really had fun drawing and having to work with each other from a really exciting experiment.
The normal water cycle did cycle but the amount of the water was still the same when we left last week.
The water cycle with acid did cycle but it was only a little and the amount of water was now small.
