Solar energy

Aim: To find out which colour attracts the suns heat.

Hypothesis:

I think that will happen with solar energy or what will happen with one.

Materials:

  1.  Black Plastic
  2.  Heat lamp
  3.  3 plastic/ 1 clear plastic cup covered with a black plastic / 1 white plastic cup/ 1 white cup covered with tinfoil.
  4. White Paper
  5.  Tinfoil
  6. Thermometer

Steps

  1. Get the materials.
  2.  Set up the cups.
  3.  Cover the clear cup with a cut black plastic bag.
  4.  Put the cup with a black plastic bag on top of another black plastic bag.
  5.   Put the tinfoil cup on top of the paper.
  6. Put the white cup on top of the paper.
  7. Measure it every minute.

Findings:

Cup 1
White
Cup 2
Black
Cup 3
Tinfoil

Conclusion

The BLACK CUP HEATED FASTER THAN ALL THE OTHERS because it was in the middle and the heat lamp was aiming at the black cup. THE WHITE CUP WAS TIED WITH THE TIN FOIL AT same degrees in 30 minutes. I LEARNT THAT HEAT LAMPS CAN GET VERY HOT IN SHORT AMOUNTS OF TIME.
