BREaking NEWss EVerBody The pacific ocean is being polluted by a lot of trash and the Fish are eating the microplastic accidentally without knowing its food. EVEN the big plastic called fishing nets is being ended up in big whale bellies, and the whale can not be able to poop out phytoplankton that produces out 80% of the world Oxygen. Without that the ocean will die and soon we will struggle to exist anymore.

In the past few weeks for social studies, we were learning about plastic pollution in the ocean and so we watch a couple of videos and a movie to reflect on what I have learned from. I wrote a question to myself on what I've done so far.
What you have learned so far (Great Pacific GArbage patch, PLastic Pullotion, phytoplankton)???
It shows us that the plastic dump has becoming more of a problem as it gets into the ocean a lot more and whales are dying and end up stranded on the shore, with their 50 pounds of plastic inside their stomach. I also learned that whales poop out a Phytoplankton which produces oxygen "ALLOT OF OXYGEN THAT covers 70% OF THE EARTH OXYGEN PRODUCTION"
What do you think?
This made me feel so bad about the sea animals and the sea itself. This how the ocean today and can't do anything to help.
What we can do about it/Thing that has already been done?
So I know that the government have already been doing research on plastic pollution that is happening in the ocean and so the if they are doing that then maybe we reduce our rubbish to reducing rubbish by stop using plastic bags and use reusable items
Testing for Hydrogen Gas, Sound of POP test.
The aim is to make a metal oxide and observe the difference and properties of the product compared to the reactants.
1. MEtal + Acid
- Equation
Metal + Acid = Metal salt + Hydrogen
Magnesium + Sulfuric Acid = Magnesium sulfate
- Method
1. Put 2ml of sulfuric acid and a piece of magnesium metal inside the test tube.
2. Boiling tube inverted to collect any of the gas that is produced.
3. light up a splint and hold the boiling tube that has gas inside
- Conclusion
When I inserted the flaming splint inside the boiling test tube while the Hydrogen gas was inside, It made a pop sound so it means that there oxygen that is trapped in a boiling tube.
Testing Out FOr the Presence of oxygen.
Aim: To carry out the test for the presence of gas (O2)
Equipment: A pea-sized amount of manganese dioxide (MnO2), Boingtube, bottle hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), Woden splint, Bunsen burner, test tube rack, and don't forget a safety glasses.
Method
1. Add manganese dioxide in a boiling tube.
2. add 2 ml of hydrogen peroxide.
3. lit up ur splint with a bunsen burner.
4. Blow up ur burning splint and insert the glowing embers into the mouth of the boiling tube.
5. You will see the tip of the splint will get reignite and it's bery bery aswesome!!!.
Thae Conclusion:
When the acid was added into the boiling tube I can see a bubble of gas that was released.
